Best Time to do Short Annapurna Circuit Trek 7 Days

The best time for the Annapurna circuit fast 7 days trek is usually considered spring (March till May) and autumn (September till November). During these seasons, you can enjoy trekking on a dry path while taking in free, breathtaking views of the Annapurna area at its highest point. The weather is usually consistent during both of these seasons.

Spring Season

The whole Himalayan region comes alive in the springtime, with dotted wildflowers covering the entire lower trekking path. You can also anticipate seeing the eloped flora and wildlife of the Annapurna Conservation Area as well.

The region's colorful scenery, verdant hills, azure skies, and the glittering peaks of the Himalayas make this the ideal time of year to take that flawless photo.

The Annapurna region's average daily temperature during the spring season is between 14°C and 23°C, with a low of 5°C.

Since the atmosphere over 4,000 meters is typically alpine, you should prepare for all possible weather conditions throughout your trek. You need to prepare for freezing temperatures in the mornings and evenings.

Autumn Season

Autumn is regarded as the best season for mountain trekking adventures in the Himalayas, even between these two busy times of the year. This time of year has the best weather and temperatures, ranging from 10°C to 20°C, neither too hot nor too cold.

Due to the clear days, you can also anticipate seeing the most breathtaking Himalayan panoramas. The monsoon-nourished, lush, and fresh landscapes make every day's hiking an exciting adventure. In a similar vein, springtime in the Himalayas, when flowers blossom, is regarded as a nature lover's heaven.

Permits required for Short Annapurna Circuit Trek 7 Day

Permits are required, as they provide you with authorization to enter the Annapurna region. For short Annapurna circuit trekking, you need two major permits: the Trekkers Information Management System (TIMS) and the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP).

Please note that we have included the charges for these permits in our cost, and our team members will take these permits for you so that you can have a smooth and hassle-free trek. Here is some brief information regarding these permits.

                • Trekkers Information Management System (TIMS): TIMS, alias, increases the safety of all trekkers in Nepal. Not just for the Annapurna circuit trekking for 10 days, but for most treks in Nepal, a TIMS card is required. For us to get your TIMS card, we require a photocopy of your passport and two passport-sized photos. The cost of a TIMS card is NPR 2,000, which is equivalent to 17 USD.
                • Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP): This permit was created specifically for the Annapurna Region. The permit and the amount you have to pay help to preserve the area. To get your ACAP, you need to fill out a form with information on your insurance, your intended trekking route, and your itinerary. The cost of ACAP is NPR 3,000, which is equivalent to 25.50 USD.

Short Annapurna Circuit Trek 7 Day Difficulty

Our short trek across the Annapurna circuit is one of the most well-liked and durable treks in the Himalayas.

This itinerary can be completed without difficulty by the majority of travelers in excellent health and respectable physical condition, and no prior trekking experience is needed.

Nonetheless, this journey ascends to elevations over 4,000 meters, while the Thorong La Pass soars well above 5,000 meters.

It's crucial to stay hydrated and get enough rest at these elevations so that your body can acclimate to the higher altitudes naturally. Our guide will be there to support you as usual and make sure you have a comfortable and safe trek.

Short Annapurna Circuit Trek 7 Days Accommodation

When choosing lodging, we put our trekkers' comfort and security first. The tea houses selected for this Annapurna circuit short trek are more luxurious than your average teahouse.

Throughout your trek, you will spend six nights in total in tea houses or lodges along your trails. However, please note that accommodation in Pokhara is not included in our costs. If you want accommodations in Pokhara, please apply for our “Add On” option.

Although most rooms are designed for twin sharing, our guides will make room arrangements based on gender.

Please let us know ahead of time if you will be traveling as a couple or if you would like private accommodations within a group, and we will make the appropriate arrangements to meet your needs.

You will be lodging at teahouses in the trailside communities during your trek. These are rather simple, usually consisting of two wooden bench beds with mattresses each, as well as communal restrooms.

Short Annapurna Circuit Trek 7 Days Food

Throughout your trek, we will provide you with 7 breakfasts, 6 lunches, and 6 dinners. Please note that any extra food and beverages that you have during your trek will not be added to our costs.

The food during your trek is varied and satisfying, providing the necessary energy for long and challenging hikes. Teahouses and lodges dot the route, offering a range of local and international dishes.

Traditional Nepalese cuisine, such as dal bhat (rice and lentil soup), momos (steamed dumplings), and thukpa (noodle soup), are staple options that provide a comforting taste of the region. Additionally, you can enjoy hearty breakfasts with eggs, toast, porridge, and pancakes, ensuring a nourishing start to the day.

Fresh fruits, vegetables, and locally grown produce are also available, providing a refreshing and healthy option for those craving a lighter meal. You can savor their meals while soaking in the awe-inspiring views of the Annapurna mountain range, creating an unforgettable dining experience on this remarkable trek.

Short Annapurna Circuit Trek 7 Days Altitude Sickness

You risk the danger of developing altitude sickness, sometimes referred to as acute mountain sickness (AMS), if you are traveling to elevations higher than 2,500 meters.

Those with a history of altitude sickness, those who exercise or consume alcohol before acclimating to the altitude, and those with respiratory disorders are at increased risk. Before you confirm the trek, we recommend that you consult your doctor for advice relevant to you and your medical circumstances.

Some symptoms of altitude sickness can be:

                • headache
                • loss of appetite
                • feeling or being sick
                • feeling tired or exhausted
                • dizziness
                • difficulty sleeping

On this trek, we will be trekking to Thorang La Pass, which has an altitude of 5,416 meters (17,769 ft). So altitude sickness can be a challenge during your trek. Our guides will be there to help you and make sure you have a safe trek.

If you experience any of these symptoms or other discomforts, please let the guides know. We will either add extra acclimatization days or slow the pace of the trek, depending on your condition.

                  Annapurna circuit short trek

This quick Annapurna circuit hike with NTA was an opportunity of a lifetime. Shiva, our guide, made sure everything went as planned from the beginning of the tour. His enthusiasm, expertise, and care for our group's well-being were quite impressive.

The path was an experience for all the senses. The varied topography, which ranged from verdant woods to desolate, high-altitude deserts, offered a breathtaking background that changed constantly. It was a tremendous sense of satisfaction to reach each milestone, and the challenge of traversing high mountain passes was thrilling. Thank you, NTA, for designing this wonderful package. I enjoyed every bit of my trek with you guys, and I hope to go on more treks with you all.
