Early Life and Career Beginnings

Binod Sapkota, a prominent figure in the world of travel and trekking, emerged from the Dhading district in Nepal. His journey from a young student to a renowned leader in the tourism industry is a testament to his unwavering dedication and passion for adventure. Born and raised in Dhading, Binod completed his schooling with distinction before begining on a life-changing journey to Kathmandu. This pivotal move marked the beginning of his deep connection with the tourism sector. His early experiences in the bustling heart of Kathmandu provided him with a glimpse into the vibrant world of travel and adventure. However, it wasn't until he finished intermediate level study that he truly began to forge his path in the travel industry. It was during this time that his passion for travel began to take root, and his education laid the foundation for a career that would later flourish in the world of adventure tourism.

Gaining Expertise and Early Experiences

As he pursued his study, he was simultaneously exploring the world of travel and trekking. Trekking became his passion in 2002, when he began on his first journey into the Himalayas. However, it was his experiences on the trails and in the mountains that proved to be his greatest teachers. Binod's journey started at the grassroots level in 2004, working as a porter, where he carried heavy loads for trekkers exploring Nepal's breathtaking landscapes. Over the course of 2004–2005, he honed his skills in trekking and guiding, all the while learning from the rugged terrain and diverse cultures he encountered. These early experiences not only built his physical strength but also imbued him with an intimate understanding of the challenges and rewards of trekking. By the end of 2006, Binod had taken a significant step by establishing a partnership that laid the foundation for his own trekking agency, Nepal Trek Adventures (NTA).

The Establishment of Nepal Trek Adventures (NTA)

Slowly but steadily, Binod transitioned into single-handedly managing NTA while never letting go of his deep-rooted love for trekking. Even after becoming an owner of NTA, he continued to trek, often accommodating specific client requests. His dedication to learning and his love for the industry propelled him to become a certified trekking guide. This milestone marked the beginning of his ascent in the travel and adventure fields. His clients found inspiration in his stories and his deep connection to the mountains, fostering his reputation as a trusted guide. Despite the many challenges, his unwavering determination led him to establish Nepal Trek Adventures (NTA). Starting from scratch, he faced the uphill task of building a reputable agency. However, his perseverance, creative thinking, and unrelenting work ethic helped him overcome these initial hurdles. NTA soon emerged as a prominent player in the adventure tourism sector. His vision for NTA extends beyond providing memorable experiences for travelers. He has always been a fervent advocate for eco-tourism, driven by a commitment to protect and preserve Nepal's pristine environment for future generations of adventurers. His agency became a symbol of responsible tourism by setting high standards for environmental stewardship and community engagement.

Business Expansion and Diversification

In addition to his trekking endeavors, Binod diversified his interests. He ventured into the culinary world and now owns a restaurant. Presently, he oversees a team of 34 people, with 12 dedicated to the restaurant, another 12 in the hotel sector, and 10 serving in various roles at NTA. His innovative spirit has led him to establish Nepal Rental Car and co-found Heli on Call, redefining travel services in Nepal. His ability to adapt and identify new business opportunities has allowed him to create a thriving network of businesses that cater to different sectors within the tourism and hospitality industry.

Travel History

Recently in 2024, Binod Sapkota attended "Expo Nepal 2024" in Brasília, the capital of Brazil, where he emphasized the event’s crucial role in introducing Nepal as a must-visit destination for Brazilian travelers. He praised the Nepalese embassy’s efforts in bridging the geographical gap between the two nations, highlighting Brazil’s large economy as a promising factor for future tourism and business collaborations

His extensive travel history reveals a deep commitment to promoting global tourism. In 2015 to 2023, he ventured to the Eastern side, exploring countries like Turkey, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, enriching his cultural understanding and broadening his horizons. He continued his journey, setting foot in Italy and Norway, further expanding his travel repertoire. In 2013, Binod also went on an unforgettable odyssey to India, delving into diverse landscapes and fostering cross-cultural connections. His travels reflect his dedication to the growth of tourism, as he continues to explore new destinations, embracing the world with open arms and a genuine passion for adventure

Bijay Chaurasia is a professional photographer based in Nepal, who is known for his stunning photographs of the country's natural beauty and cultural heritage. He specializes in landscape, travel, and cultural photography. He has been capturing the beauty of Nepal for over a decade, and his work has been widely exhibited and published. He is also known for his expertise in Astrophotography and timelapse photography. He has been awarded and recognized for his work in various photography competitions and exhibitions. He has also been working as a photography trainer and guide for many years. He is also an active contributor to Wikimedia projects as an account creator, autopatrolled, and importer in Maithili Wikimedia. He is associated with the organization since 2015 and holds the position of Senior Manager.

Manju Mahato joined this company in 2020 as a content writer who hails from Sindhuli District, Janakpur, Nepal. She joined the company as a content writer as she has a keen interest in reading, writing, and expressing ideas. Her active performance in the company has been a big asset to its steady growth. Her dedication to her work is highly appreciated by the company. We are very glad to have such efficient personnel on our team.

Shambhavi Timilsina is a passionate girl who is currently studying development studies and joined NTA in September 2023. In this organization, her work is Travel Content Writing which she has an experience for almost 3 years. She has always had a great interest in traveling and experiencing different cultures.

Bikash joined Nepal Trek Adventure and Expedition (NTA) in 2023. He is a talented film making student with a strong passion for the visual arts. We're excited to have him on board and look forward to seeing his creative contributions to our team.

Salon Bhattrai has been working as an accountant for the company (NTA) since 2024. Before this, he gained two years of experience in the same field. He is great at paying attention to details and making sure all of NTA's account matters are in order. He helps keep the company's finances organized and follows all the rules. He is also good at looking at the numbers and figuring out how NTA can save and plan for the future. He's a valuable member of the team, making sure NTA stays strong and successful.

Kiran Poudel joined NTA as a content writer in 2024. He has three years of writing experience. His writing style is characterized by accuracy, creativity, and clarity, and he is well-known for creating captivating and informative content. He is committed to producing high-quality content that captivates readers and increases engagement across several platforms. His dedication to excellence and professionalism makes him an invaluable member of the NTA team, contributing to the organization's success in providing timely and effective material to its audiences.

Dhiraj Shah is a content creator, Designer, born and brought up in Inaruwa, the Headquarter city of Sunsari District, in the Koshi Zone. At the age of 20, he began his profession as a content developer, following his passion. He is now continuing his successful journey with a pocket full of zeal and determination. He works remotely as a freelancer and is also an avid travel photographer, graphic designer, and UI/UX designer. He has worked for the company since 2019 and is currently the Content Creator and Designer.

Kaushal Guragain is the Information Technology Expert in Nepal Trek Adventures. He is the "IT guy" of our company who has his hands in content writing, front-end development, and as an IT Expert. He is a humble and hardworking person who gives his best in everything he does. His skills and knowledge of IT have helped us many times. He is a positive thinker who knows his roles and responsibilities well and fits perfectly as a team player in the company.

Anuja Sharma is an enthusiastic girl who is a native inhabitant of Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. She is learning the bachelor’s level at Texas International College. Continuing her study, she joined Nepal Trek Adventure and Expedition (NTA) in February 2016. She always had a colossal interest in reading, writing, and expressing her ideas, that’s why she joined the company as a content writer. 

Being born and raised in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, Rupesh recently finished his Bachelor’s level from Texas International College. In the organization, his work is to analyze the website and social media pages, then make recommendations for improvement.

Shiva Raj Adhikari is an expert trekking guide who started his journey of exploring natural Nepal in 2011 and has marked his name in the list of best trekking guides on certain trekking routes in Nepal. Trekking was not his first priority at all but the time paved his way towards it. But he is happy with what he does. The major routes that he guides are Annapurna Region, Mount Everest Region, Langtang mountain exploration, Gosaikunda, and many more. 

Rajan Rijal is an aspiring, well-trained, and experienced guide, who united with Nepal Trek Adventure in 2010. His familiarity and ways of handling customers have established him different from other guides. He is very active in trekking and has knowledge about hundreds of trekking and touring spots in the overall country. He was born and brought up in Dhading as a normal kid but growing up made him dream like an abnormal dreamer of exploring each and every part of the country. 

Rishi Ram Adhikari is one of our natural trekking experts. He is an A Grade license guide who started his trek journey in 2010. With over 100 trips in the  Everest Region, his experience is unquestionable. Rishi is an adventurous travel nomad who has a firm grasp of the routes of the Everest and Annapurna regions. He has also done many indigenous treks. With his humble attitude, he shines among the trekkers.

Tribhuwan Adhikari is an energetic and professional guide. He has gone through many trekking routes inside Nepal and to Lasha in Tibet. With over 10 years of experience in the Everest and Annapurna Regions, he is an expert who shines in these routes. He is a creative and quick thinker with detailed knowledge about trekking. He gives his best every day with a humble attitude and hard-working nature. He is an active guide who believes every trip and trek is an adventure and a start of a new journey.

Krishnamani Sapkota, the trekking guide, is the enthusiastic and energetic personnel who is associated with this company since its very beginning. He has accomplished the various routes of the Annapurna and Everest regions multiple numbers of times. He is a travel freak who absolutely fits as a humble and striking trekking guide in the whole tourism industry. He loves gathering with people from different cultures, values, and perspectives, which he tries to absorb within him too. His service has been considered excellent by most of the trekkers.
